Mark Caldwell practices in workers’ compensation defense as well as in all areas of civil litigation. He brings great depth of knowledge and experience in the trucking industry from his former career as a manager for a national trucking company. Mark brings this experience to bear on his representation of trucking, moving and storage, and other major companies in defense of personal injury or property damage, premise liability, defamation and employment law claims as well as defending these businesses and their workers’ compensation carriers in the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Background
Mark clerked for Commissioners Joyner and Diamond at the Workers’ Compensation Commission and began practicing in 1995. He regularly appears in the Circuit and General District Courts of Southwest and Western Virginia as well as the Federal District Courts in this “I-81” corridor of Virginia.
Mark is a regular presenter at firm and industry sponsored seminars and clients’ “in-house” workshops. Among his civic interests, Mark works with Special Olympics Virginia, and the Montgomery County-Radford and Southwestern Virginia Workers Compensation bar associations. He is also active as a coach in the Christiansburg Department of Parks & Recreation.
