The Shareholders of Two Rivers Law Group have received regional and national recognition as accomplished practitioners in their fields.

In the Richmond office, Mary Louise Kramer, who has devoted herself to workers’ compensation defense since 1975, has been named in The Best Lawyers in America and has been listed among the Virginia Super Lawyers in workers’ compensation since 2007.

Vernon Priddy, admitted to the bar in 1982, is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and has litigated over 175 appeals in appellate courts in Virginia. Now a member of the Virginia Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section Council, Vernon has also been listed since 2007 in The Best Lawyers in America and in the Virginia Super Lawyers for both his workers’ compensation and appellate practices.

Cecil Creasey, admitted to the bar in 1983, also has extensive experience before all levels of the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and, was named among the Virginia Business Legal Elite for his Regulatory/Administrative practice. Cecil also serves on appointment from the Supreme Court of Virginia as a special state administrative hearing officer for agencies throughout the Commonwealth.

Sarah Kirby practices in Two Rivers’ Christiansburg, Virginia office. In practice since 1987, she handles a wide array of workers’ compensation claims. However, she has particular expertise in handling black lung claims, defending employers before both the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor/Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs, having handled numerous cases before the USDoL Office of Administrative Law Judges as well as appeals to the Benefits Review Board.

Mark Caldwell practices in workers’ compensation defense as well as in all areas of civil litigation. He brings great depth of knowledge and experience in the trucking industry from his former career as a manager for a national trucking company. Mark brings this experience to bear on his representation of trucking, moving and storage, and other major companies in defense of personal injury or property damage, premise liability, defamation and employment law claims as well as defending these businesses and their workers’ compensation carriers in the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Mike Goff, in practice since 2001, maintains a full docket of workers’ compensation claims. He has developed extensive experience with many physicians and specialists throughout southwest and central Virginia and provides frequent recommendations for evaluations or panels to the Firm’s clients. He happily assists employers and carriers with in-house seminars and file reviews. He is active in various Southwest Virginia bar associations.

Two Rivers’ four other lawyers complete the Firm. Dawn Bishop, the only attorney in the Firm designated as Counsel owing to her lengthy workers’ compensation practice, was admitted to the bar in 1981 and practices out of the Richmond office. Two associates also practice in the Richmond office: Paul Emigholz, admitted to the bar in 2003; and Stephan Marshall, admitted to the bar in Virginia and in the District of Columbia in 2003. Finally, Christopher Lambert, admitted to the bar in 2006, Two Rivers’ third associate, practices in the Christiansburg office.
